As is, the pages load at around 16 seconds over 28.8 modem connection.  That translates to 8 seconds over a 56k modem, and, ummm...  well, milliseconds over cable or DSL connection.  Our flash movie in the header is 20k, about the same as the average .jpg or .gif image file of the same size!

Can I easily change out the images/words in the Flash movies?

No, we don't include the Flash (.fla) source files with this template package.  If you would like a different "Discover" movie, please contact us for flash movie customization information!

What if I don't want the Flash movie on every page?

You may replace the movie on individual pages of your choice with one of the included images in the images/top_right/ directory, or with any image of your choice appropriately sized (our images are 295 pixels wide by 91 pixels high).

Can I easily change the colors on the left and/or right sides?

Yes, the cell colors are simply that:  table cell colors.  Right click over a blank area, select "Cell Properties" from the popup window, then change the background color to the color of your choice.  You will NOT be able to go with a dark or bold left color, as our theme is pre-set for the buttons to have black lettering.  Your vertical navigation/link bar buttons will "assume" the color of the background color you select for the cell.

How do I change the lettering on the logo?

You can insert your OWN logo (NOTE!  91 pixels high maximum), OR, you can open the file images/yournameblank.gif and add lettering to it in a graphics program, then replace our logo with your newly-created logo by saving the finished file to the images/design elements/ file as "yournamehere.gif"..

Can I add more pages?

Certainly!  You can add as many as you wish!  Just use our blank page templates (see the "What's Included" page of this template).  Go to the Folder List (View, Folders).  Open the template of your choice (let's assume it is blank.htm).  As soon as it is open, go to File, Save AS... - then save it as the name you want your new page to have.  Now, go to the Navigation view (View, Navigation).  Is your Folder List open as well?  If not, the go to View, Folder LIST to open it.  Next, locate the new filename in the Folder List (it's probably at the bottom), left click over it and while holding down the left mouse button, drag it over into the Navigation Structure and drop it where you want it, so that it is underneath either the Home page or another existing page.  Repeat every time you wish to add a new page!

Why can't I change the (pick a word) in the upper or lower sections???

The lower portion of the inside pages is contained in an included, separate page for your convenience.  This way, you only have to make the modifications on one page for them to appear on all pages.  Open the page include_bot.htm to make your changes, save, and you're done!

Can I put my own images in the text area of the page?

Sure - you can do virtually anything with this template you can do with any web.  The only thing to make note of is this template is fixed in width, so your pictures *will* need to be sized so they don't expand the template, making a mess out of the header area!
